Orange King Comp Compressor Pedal

Description

Orange King Comp Compressor Pedal

The Orange King Comp is a low-noise Class A VCA compressor pedal designed to bring studio-style dynamic control to guitar and bass pedalboards. Built for players who want smooth compression without sacrificing clarity, warmth, or touch sensitivity, the King Comp helps even out playing dynamics while adding sustain, snap, and definition. Whether used as a subtle tone enhancer, an always-on compressor, or a more dramatic squash effect, this Orange compressor pedal delivers a musical response that keeps the natural feel of your instrument intact.

With its all-analogue signal path and Class A VCA compression circuit, the King Comp gives players precise control over attack and release behavior. The attack control adjusts how quickly compression reacts to the beginning of each note, allowing anything from tighter, more controlled picking to a punchier feel with more note impact. The release control shapes how the compression lets go, helping create transparent volume enhancement, smooth sustain, or a slower blooming response for chords and lead lines.

The King Comp is designed for high-headroom performance, running from an external 18 V DC power supply to maximize clarity and dynamic range. This makes it especially useful for high-output pickups, bass guitars, and larger pedalboard setups where clean signal handling matters. Its onboard LED provides visual feedback by changing from blue to pink when compression is applied, making it easier to see how the pedal is responding while dialing in your sound.

For players using longer cables or complex pedalboards, the King Comp includes a high-quality buffered bypass to help maintain signal strength and clarity even when the pedal is switched off. This makes it a dependable choice for guitarists and bassists who want a compressor that can tighten low end, add presence, smooth out peaks, and preserve a strong, defined signal throughout the entire rig.
